This is the project I was called up on to be a part of, by a Japanese director Kenji. At the beginning, I was not sure what I'm getting myself into, but I wanted to help by any means for Japan, for something that comes out of good-will. I was sort of frustrated of the ongoing situation as well.
A week after posting of youtube, it's already viewed 220,000 times. Most of comments are in Japanese, mostly positive. Special thanks to Robin Williams and Ice-T!
I'm realizing more and more, that the simple message, especially coming from any other parts of the world such as NY, encourage people in Japan who still are in desperate situation. (well, I kind of said that already in my previous blog...) I feel proud to be part of this.
Now the more I read the news, the more upset I feel about Japanese government and corporation's constant idiocy. Then I learned that there's a huge nuclear plant called Hamaoka whose leakage would affect the entire Tokyo area.
Hamaoka is located right on the plate where the worst earthquake in the history could possibly occur. If not the worst, huge one, around magnitude 8.0 or so, (already named as Tokai earthquake) WILL occur sooner or later.
For more details about this, and if you want to sign the petition to stop this nuclear plant running as is, please click here. The voice of U.S. is usually very strong in Japan - maybe more so than that of Japanese.
